TechMunch 1.1 on its way!
News Update June 1 2009: TechMunch Update 1.1 has been approved and is now available from the AppStore
The first version of TechMunch (iPhone application for TechCrunch blogs) received a wide spread welcome, I sincerely thank everyone who've encouraged the initiative and provided feed backs on the first version.
I have just uploaded version 1.1 to the Apple App Store (might take a couple of days for review to finish, hold the excitement till then ;) ).
This version features a significant performance boost and usability improvements. Especially the table columns now feature smooth scrolling and image caching. The application loads significantly faster. Well, with this version, you can instantly share the stories using twitter via Twitterific application! (also email).
Garage Band for Dummies - How to extract MP3, M4R (Ayan - Hey Raja Song)
I've always thought of Mac's Garage Band was supposed to be for media experts. The interface has scared me off a bit in the past. But today, when I desparately wanted to extract mp3 off Ayan Movie's new song 'Hey Raja' from You Tube, to my surprise Garage band came in very handy and it was super easy to get things done. Bonus: I was even able to extract a ringtone to my iPhone in no time.
Here I'll run through the steps of extracting mp3 out of a mp4 video (Note:You Tube now offers a way to download their videos as mp4!) and then compose your own ringtone from there on.
Step 1: Get yourself an mp4 video! To get your favorite video from You Tube follow this link for instructions (Note: Beware of Copyright restrictions. Strictly for personal use and fun only!). For demonstration I have uses Ayan's theme song (Hey Raja)
